THE "GREEN" HIJABS

What do you do with over 15 boxes of  hijab fabric remnants? Well this was the case many years ago that lead to our "green" hijabs. No, they are not green in color the concept is a green concept. We did not want to use the word recycled to give the impression that they were used, which they are not or that the fabric was previously used.

They are strips of fabric that were not used in our normal production of our mostly square hijabs.  I continued to save the fabric in boxes  not knowing what to do with this growing hoard of fabric. Then one day, Alhamdulillah, the idea, why not sew these strips back together and see what happens, if the sisters like them or not and as an extra feature we made the price super easy to handle.

Alhamdulillah, they are hit year after year.

NEW THINGS

We are always thinking of new designs and other things to make. For example, we plan to offer a wider selection of undercaps and khimars(head coverings) in the coming future and some head covering, that we have not made in years but in the meantime, these are some of things that we have been working on.

When you see this on a product page, what this means is that the item usually ships in 2-3 business days. Business days are Monday - Friday. It DOES NOT MEAN that you will receive  your order in 2 - 3 business days, although that is sometimes the case. 

Usually, means that is the usual way we do business but it could mean a little longer depending on the circumstance. While we make every effort to get things to you as soon as possible at times situations happen where we cannot make that 2 - 3 day ship out date.

100% COTTON GAUZE HIJABS

For summer comfort there is nothing like cotton and cotton hijabs. Cotton gauze can be made in various types of head coverings, square, rectangle and various forms of head wraps.

The history of gauze can be read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gauze. Basically gauze is from the Arabic work, in the town where the weaving was done around the 13th century, that town was GAZA or GHAZZA.

Gauze is a light weight fabric with a loose weave, making it very airy.

Well it took a while before I figured out why I could not get the Polyvore collages going. I just realized for some reason I could not do it in Google Chrome, so I tried Firefox and it worked.

So here is my first collage using Polyvore for Al-Mujalbaba clothing and accessories. The jilbab is a dark coral koshibo fabric from Indonesia and the the printed hijabs are from the Al-Mujalbaba inventory. Accessories are from the web, however I would like to use other Muslims sisters products to accessory Al-Mujalbaba clothing.
